Accommodation
20 nights of twin, double or triple accommodation are included on this tour. You’ll stay in a combination of hotels, hostels, guesthouses and homestays. 1 night will be spent on a traditional junk boat on Ha Long Bay, 1 night on an overnight train and 1 night will be spent on an overnight bus..
Meals
19 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 3 dinners are included. You’ll need to buy the rest of your meals yourself. It’s a great way to experience local culture by sampling Southeast Asian delicacies. Food in Southeast Asia is mainly pretty cheap, so eating out shouldn’t break the bank.
Our local team have installed safe refillable water stations at every overnight stop on this tour and also at many of the activity destinations as well. In an effort to reduce the use of single use plastics, we ask that you bring your own refillable water bottle with you on this trip.
Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam. Arrive into Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, where you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation. Enjoy your first night in Vietnam!
Day 2: Hanoi Walking & Rickshaw Tour. Walk around the city, try some local fruit and beer, then ride around in a rickshaw and keep your eyes peeled for key sites such as the Presidential Palace, the beautiful West Lake, the Ho Chi Minh complex and the One Pillar Pagoda.
Day 3: Ha Long Bay Overnight Boat. Let's jump abroad the boat which we will call home for the night. Sail into beautiful Ha Long Bay, drink in the gorgeous landscapes, go caving and sea kayaking and spend tonight drinking and eating under the stars before being rocked to sleep by the waves in your cosy cabin.
Day 4: Ha Long to Ninh Binh. Our destination today is stunning Ninh Binh, referred to as ‘Ha Long Bay inland’ because of its dramatic limestone scenery. Gaze out on a sea of rice paddies and mountains from your riverside homestay as you enjoy a wholesome evening with your group.
Day 5: Ninh Binh. Join a bicycle tour through the countryside, then hop on a boat and glide along gentle rivers and caves. After lunch, hike to Dragon Mountain Viewpoint before an overnight train to Da Nang.
Day 6: Hoi An. Wake as the train rolls into Da Nang and take the short bus ride to historic Hoi An. Explore the ochre-tone streets, wander around the tailor shops, and maybe get something tailored made! After the sun goes down, we will experience the magical lantern boats before exploring some of Hoi An's nightlife!
Day 7: Hoi An crab fishing and cooking. Jump aboard a traditional basket boat and navigate rivers and coconut groves with the help of some local fishermen while attempting to catch crabs! Then learn how to whip up some tasty Vietnamese delicacies at an authentic cooking class.
Day 8: Hoi An lanterns and beach. Get crafty today with a floating lantern making class. Then we will make our way to one of the golden beaches just outside of the town, where we’ll kick back with some time in a local beach club.
Day 9: Explore Ho Chi Minh City. This morning, we will jump on a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will have free time for the rest of the day to explore.
Day 10: Mekong Delta. Today explore the beautiful Mekong Delta and learn first hand how locals live, whislt they teach you how to make a braclet and then enjoy an aftenoon tea. After that you can have a go at traditional mud fishing.
Day 11: Cu Chi Tunnels. Head underground and explore the incredible Cu Chi Tunnels, a sprawling network of underground passages that were used during the war for supplies and communication. Then enjoy a farewell night out in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Head to Cambodia. Jump on the bus to Phnom Penh, Cambodia! When you arrive, check out your accommodation before heading out for some food and a beer with your buddies.
Day 13: S21 Prison & Killing Fields. See the best of Phnom Penh by tuk tuk. Visit the S21 Prison and the Killing Fields – an important part of understanding the history of this intriguing country.
Day 14: Kampot Kayaking. Say goodbye to the city, and head to pretty Kampot, with its crumbling colonial building, and vast pepper plantations. Cool off in the river this afternoon with some tubing and kayaking.
Day 15: Kampot Market & Cooking. Visit a market and a pepper plantation to pick up some ingredients for a Khmer cooking class, and then eat what you’ve made! In the evening, take a sunset boat cruise on the river.
Day 16: Koh Rong Sanloem Beaches. Transfer to the stunning island of Koh Rong Sanloem. Snap your friends, lazing on the white sands, and dance the night away at an awesome beach party!
Day 17: Island Boat Trip. Take a long-tail boat to the island’s best snorkel and swimming spots. Launch yourself off the boat and marvel at the brightly coloured coral and tropical fish.
Day 18: Chill & Travel. Relax on the beach this morning, then board the ferry back to the mainland. After dinner, board the overnight sleeper bus that’ll take you up to Siem Reap.
Day 19: Siem Reap Floating Villages. Arrive in Siem Reap and spend the morning unwinding by the hotel pool. Later, visit Siem Reap’s traditional floating villages, surrounded by lotus flowers and flooded forests.
Day 20: Angkor Wat. Wake up early to get to Angkor Wat. Seeing this majestic temple, bathed in red and orange as the sun comes up, is a sight you’ll never forget. A guide will show you the highlights of the whole breathtaking site, including the jungle covered Ta Prohm where Angelina Jolie filmed the Tomb Raider movies. Head out for an epic final dinner and party with your travel buddies.
Day 21: Onward Travel. Your fantastic tour through Vietnam and Cambodia has come to an end! Say your farewells and check out of your accommodation this morning before making your way to the airport. Your guide can help you organise your onward travel.

Arrival Information:
You’ll need to arrive into Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on day 1. You’ll be met by one of our guides and taken to your accommodation.
You can arrive before the start date and still take up the inclusive transfer if you book extra nights of accommodation through us. If you want to arrive before the start date then please let us know in advance.
Your tour ends in Siem Reap on day 21. A return airport transfer is not included but it’s really easy to arrange. It’ll take around 40 minutes to get to Siem Reap airport and will cost around $6 USD. Your guide will be able to help you organise onward travel.
Age & Eligibility:
Generally, our travellers are 18-35 years old. We do have an upper age limit of 55 for this trip, with some flexibility.
British nationals will receive 45 days of entry to Vietnam visa-free on arrival.
You will need a visa to enter Cambodia. You can apply for a visa online before travelling or simply complete a form on arrival at the Cambodian border (where you will need to pay a 30USD fee). If you are planning to extend your stay it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid visa for the entire duration, or obtain any necessary visa extensions while you are in Cambodia.
