Experience the wonders of India and Nepal in one amazing 15-day trip from Delhi to Kathmandu. Discover Delhi, see the sun rise over stunning temples, take a tour of Jaipur’s Amber Fort, be blown away by the impressive Taj Mahal, explore Agra, visit the holy city of Varanasi & take an optional boat ride on the sacred Ganges on an Indian odyssey you’ll never forget. Then travel on into Nepal to Buddha’s birthplace, spot wildlife at Chitwan National Park, spend a night in a homestay, hang out in the stunning mountain scenery of Pokhara and end your epic trip in the colourful city of Kathmandu.

What's Not Included

14 nights’ accommodation are included as part of this trip. 11 nights will be in twin-share simple hotels, 1 night on the overnight train, as well as 2 nights homestay. 

Most meals are not included, apart from 1 lunch in Kathmandu.

Arrive in time for the 2pm welcome meeting and meet your group before heading out on a guided walk tour. Evening guided tour to India Gate and Connaught Place.

Soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating town on an orientation walk, followed by an optional camel ride to watch the sun set.

See the sun rise after a hike to Savitri Temple in Pushkar, then travel on to Jaipur. Guided tour of the Amber Fort is included. Free time to explore.

A guided tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal is included. Option to visit Agra Fort and Baby Taj. Overnight train to the holy city of Varanasi.

Go on an orientation walk along ghats and in the old city, with its maze of alleyways, temples and shrines. Take a boat ride on the Ganges.

Travel into Nepal and head for the sacred town of Lumbini, birthplace of Buddha.

Enjoy an orientation walk of Chitwan town, followed by an optional jeep safari to discover the wildlife of Chitwan NP. Stay at a local homestay with an indigenous community.

Go on an orientation walk in Pokhara. Optional activities included paragliding or an amazing Himalayan sunrise walk up Mt Sarangkot. Visit a local project and learn to cook some traditional Nepalese dumplings, before enjoying a delicious inclusive lunch.

Get your bearings on an orientation walk. Optional activities include a scenic flight over Everest.

Your tour ends today in Kathmandu and you can depart at any time.

You'll have plenty of free time and freedom to shape your own adventures with a wide variety of optional activities available to book during your trip, so you can choose experiences around your preferences and budget.

Arrival Information:

Your programme begins in Delhi, India on Day 1. You should arrange your flights into Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) at any time. An airport transfer is not included, but we can help you arrange one if you’d like. Please contact a Travel Coordinator for more information.

If you don’t book an arrival transfer, then taxis are the most convenient way to get to your accommodation, but you should only use the official prepaid taxi service on offer at the airport which is operated by the Delhi Traffic Police. You will pay the rate in advance (approx £3 - £4).  

You will find your starting hotel name and address on your tour voucher, which we will send to you around a month before departure or after you have provided all your travel details in your Good to Go Portal. This voucher will also contain emergency contact numbers for the local team if you need assistance on arrival.

Arrive to your start hotel no later than 2pm for your welcome meeting. If you are arriving later and will miss the welcome meeting, your guide will leave a note at reception for you with any information you may need as well as your morning instructions for the next day.

Your trip ends in Kathmandu on Day 15. Return transfers to Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) are not included, but we can help you arrange one if you'd like.

Age & Eligibility:

The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39.

Physical Rating: Light. The activities on this trip are suitable for most fitness levels.
